Michael Lynche sings Rolling Stones “Miss You” — Judges comments
Kicking off the first performance of Rolling Stones night and the first performance of the top 12 Michael Lynche sang “Miss You”
Here’s what the judges said
Randy- he felt “Big Mike” was a great performer and “what a way to start the show!”
Ellen- couldn’t find something not to love about Mike– she thinks at some point she will be dissapointed but NOT yet!! Great start!
Kara- loves The Stones because they are such great performers and that’s exactly what Mike did tonight! ‘I really liked it!”
Simon- was happy to see his confidence up but also said that he felt the performance at times, particullary his dancing was kind of corny. He felt the singing was good but the performance was a tiny bit desperate (all the while the other judges loudly saying ‘no, no, no’)

Michael Lynche (Big Mike) made the top 12 of American Idol Season 9!! Congratultations Michael!! Next week starts theme weeks and it’s kicking off with the music of The Rolling Stones! Can’t wait to see what he brings-sure to be great!

Michael sings “This Woman’s Work” By Maxwell
Working to get his way into the top 12 Michael Lynche sings “This Woman’s Work” By Maxwell. He was dressed in a suit coat and showed a softer side. Here were the judges comments:
Randy– “Dawg–Yo–Really!?!?!!” Yo, I gotta give it to you again dawg, this is crazy!!– YO Mike that was HOT!”
Ellen said it was one of her favorite songs and “Oh My God that was SOO beautiful and it feels like the show just began! You are the one to beat now!”
Kara– was brought to tears by Mike’s performance — “It’s amazing! You were amazing! It’s so relevant for you right now and I can feel it– it brought me to tears, it was amazing!”
Simon after comforting Kara said this was SO needed tonight, the whole night was boring and then Mike comes out with a difficult song to sing and nails it “it was not only the best performance tonight but the best performance of the all the live shows we had so far!!”
